Domain registration Thailand

The official domain extension for Thailand is .TH.

Currently, it is not possible to register a domain name directly with this extension. However, for those companies with interests in Thailand, or that are looking to protect their trademark within the country, it is possible to register domain names with other, official, second level extensions.

Thailand, officially the Kingdom of Thailand, is a constitutional monarchy in Southeast Asia. It is bordered by Laos and Cambodia to the east, by Laos and Burma to the north, by Burma to the west and by Malaysia to the south. In the southern part of the country, it has coastline on the Andaman Sea to the west and on the South China Sea to the east. It was formerly know as Siam.

The country covers a total area of 513,120 km² and has a population of 69,122,234 (2012). The landscape is mountainous to the north, including the country’s highest point on Doi Inthanon, at 2,576 m, and also to the north east, with the Khorat Plateau. Any plains are found mainly in the hinterland, in particular in the Chao Phraya river valley, which runs into the Gulf of Thailand. The extreme south, however, features the northern section of the Titiwangsa Mountains. The capital is Bangkok and the local currency is the Baht.

The economy is based on agriculture (rice, tapioca, Indian rubber), followed by tin mining and manufacturing industries exporting electrical goods, Indian rubber and vehicles. Tourism is also an important economic resource. The official language of Thailand is Thai.
